Several weeks ago, I shared the news about Crow Vineyard and Winery in Kennedyville, Maryland, joining forces with Our Daily Bread as a dedicated partner, generously contributing beef to our cause each month. This past week, Our Daily Bread's talented cooks diligently utilized 37 pounds of Crow’s premium ground beef to prepare a hearty chili, resulting in a total of 194 nourishing meals for our valued guests. It was a delight to see that every guest dining with us requested second helpings.
On that notable day, we were assisted by our latest partner, Starbucks, whose diligent team members stepped up as runners and dish room support. Later in the week, Our Daily Bread used an additional 9 lbs of Crow's quality meat to create a comforting shepherd's pie for lunch, allowing us to serve over 200 meals in total.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Crow family for their abundant generosity, and we’re thrilled to warmly welcome our new partner, Starbucks. Their combined contributions are playing an integral role in our ongoing efforts to serve our community.
