Cabaret for a Cause, Our Daily Bread's Second Annual Fundraiser, is coming in the Fall. This year’s event will take place on the evening of Saturday, October 14th at the Middletown Memorial Fire Hall. The event will feature a very talented singer and performer, Jenny Lee Stern, who has appeared in a host of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. Jenny will be doing her “Just a Girl” show where she performs songs made famous by the strong women who have inspired her life and career. We are also planning a buffet dinner, beer, wine and soft drinks, exciting auction items, a raffle, music, and dancing, and much more. You don’t want to miss it.

ODB is the only Soup Kitchen in the MOT area. Due to the impact of the pandemic and the rising cost of food the need for our services has increased dramatically and our costs have increased as well. In 2019 we served just over 15,000 meals; in 2022 we served over 36,000 meals. We have also added a Community Fridge to provide food on-demand to those in need. Raising the funds to maintain this essential service is crucial. Additionally, the event helps us get the word out about the impact of food insecurity in our community and raises awareness.
