ODB Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner and Turkey Distribution!
On Monday, November 20th, ODB hosted its annual Thanksgiving turkey dinner giveaway, spreading warmth and gratitude throughout the community. A total of 104 turkey dinners were generously distributed to our neighbors in need. The success of this event was made possible by the incredible efforts of our dedicated volunteers, led by the remarkable Joanne, our super-volunteer.
The collaborative spirit among our volunteers was truly heartening, as they worked together seamlessly to ensure the event's success. Special thanks to Joanne for her outstanding leadership and to all the volunteers who contributed their time and energy.
A major contribution to the event's success came from the Food Bank of Delaware, which provided 100 turkeys to make this Thanksgiving celebration possible. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Pete for his efforts in picking up the turkeys. Additionally, our sincere thanks go out to all the donors who generously provided sides, creating complete and delicious meals for over 100 individuals and families.
The day was not only about distributing meals but also about fostering a sense of community and shared joy. It was heartening to witness so many guests coming to collect a meal that they could savor with their loved ones on Thanksgiving. The overwhelming support from the community made this event a resounding success, and for that, we are truly grateful.
In reflection, it was a beautiful day filled with warmth, generosity, and the true spirit of Thanksgiving. As we express our gratitude to all involved, we wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
