Leadership TEAM

Executive Director
Brian Farragher
Brian became ODB's first Executive Director in 2025, after four years on the Board of Directors, three as President. He brings not just a passion for service, but over 40 years of nonprofit experience and and more than 30 years in senior leadership. He received an MSW from Fordham University and an MBA from Iona College. Brian worked most of his career leading children’s mental health programs. He has published numerous books and articles and has presented at international, national, and regional conferences. He moved to Delaware in 2020, thinking he had retired, but serving others is a lifetime calling.

President
Jennifer Atkinson
Jennifer joined the ODB Board in 2023, was elected Vice President in March of 2024, and President in 2025. She spent eleven years as a Middle School teacher after nine years with General Electric in global sales, marketing, and human resources. She also brings twenty years of school and charitable organizational leadership including President & Vice-President of the Parent Teacher Associations, Director of Newtown Youth & Family Services 5K & Kids' Run, and Commissioner of Pre K-8th grade Youth Lacrosse League. Jennifer has also pursued her purpose of tackling food insecurity through work at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen and the Loaves & Fishes program at her church. She recently retired from teaching a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) curriculum at Everett Meredith Middle School in Middletown and received her Master of Arts in Teaching in 2024. She now has more time for her family, friends, and Our Daily Bread.

Vice President
Ryan Scott
Ryan joined the ODB Board in 2023 and was elected Vice President in 2025. He serves as Pastor of Middletown Church of the Nazarene (which meets at The Nest, a historic home around the corner from ODB). He is also Lead Columnist for D3hoops.com and an occasional substitute teacher at Middletown High. He has a BA in History from Eastern Nazarene College and an
MDiv from Nazarene Theological Seminary. Ryan is passionate about serving the under-resourced in our community and helping people discover purpose and meaning in life. He's spent much of his professional career in non-profit work and has lived in Middletown since 2012.

Treasurer
Paul M. Willbanks
Paul has served as the Treasurer of ODB since 2013. He has a BS in Business from Susquehanna University, an MS in Professional Accountancy from Loyola University, and a Certificate in Not-For-Profit Accounting from the America Institute of CPAs. He is licensed as a CPA in both Delaware and Maryland. Paul has worked in the accounting field in numerous capacities for over 40 years and now owns his own Accounting Firm. In addition to his role at ODB, Paul
serves as Treasurer for the local Rotary Club, the New Covenant Presbyterian Church, and the Presbyterian Men of the Mid-Atlantic Synod. Paul is married with 4 children and 7 grandchildren.

Secretary
Marjorie Crofts
Marjorie joined the ODB Board in 2023 and was became Secretary in 2025. She has a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology/Mathematics & Computer Science from Roger Williams University and a Masters in Marine Policy from the University of Delaware. Before retiring in 2018, Marj spent 32 years with the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, the last 12 years as Director of the Division of Waste and Hazardous Substances. She has written numerous grants, bringing in over $10 million dollars to the State of Delaware, as well as legislation, and newsletters, and filed the paperwork to create the non-profit Partnership for the Delaware Estuary. As Director, she oversaw the activities of 100 staff and a budget of $40 million. Marj has been an Our Daily Bread volunteer since 2015. Her other community work includes the Middletown Odessa Garden Club, Middletown Relay for Life Team, and more recently she and her husband have hosted two fundraisers at their farm for The Neighborhood House, raising money to build a community center in Middletown.

Director
Chantel Acosta
Chantel was elected to the Board of Directors in April 2023, and has been volunteering regularly at Our Daily Bread since January 2022. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Delaware, by way of Virginia, in 2013, settling in Middletown in 2015. Chantel has a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Kaplan University and is currently in the process of researching PhD and Doctorate Programs in pursuit of further education. She has 20+ years working in the financial services industry with the last 7 years working in compliance testing. Chantel is also a certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and Fraud Examiner. She has a passion for investigations; therefore, her current role is a little slice of heaven as it keeps her pulling the thread on business processes and identifying areas of opportunity, to ensure adherence to applicable federal requirements. During her career, Chantel has held multiple leadership positions where she has onboarded and trained new hires, implemented standard operating procedures as part of process improvement initiatives, managed multiple teams and processes, as well as led volunteer and team-building events. Over the last 7 years, Chantel has volunteered for various organizations such as West End Neighborhood House, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Cards to Kids (St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital), Operation Gratitude, the Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, and Our Daily Bread. She also participates in volunteer efforts to feed the hungry as part of the health ministry at Mt. Sinai United Christian Church in Staten Island, NY, and as of April 2024, a member of the Meal Train ministry at Middletown Baptist Church. Chantel takes advantage of any opportunity she gets to be of service in society and is truly blessed to have found multiple organizations where she gets to do just that.

Director
Michael (Mike) Bogdanowicz
Michael joined the ODB Board in 2023 after moving to Delaware with his wife in 2022. Prior to retirement, Michael had a long career as a System Service Representative at IBM in Westchester County in New York. He has a degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from Marist College in Poughkeepsie. His community service work includes 10 years of active volunteer work at the monthly Food Bank at
Holy Spirit Church in Cortlandt Manor, NY. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus at Holy Spirit for 25 years, participating in numerous charitable events and fundraisers, for concerns in the parish as well as external charitable organizations. Michael dedicated time to coaching Community Rec League boys’ and girls’ soccer, girls’ softball and basketball, and boys’ Little League teams for 12 years. He is extremely dedicated, thorough, and dependable. He is committed to doing things right and helping those less fortunate thrive and to give back to his community. He has found the service at ODB to fit perfectly with his values and interests.

Director
Gail Brown
Gail Brown has served on the ODB Board since 2023. She retired in 2018 from a 30-year career in the financial services industry. Her most recent position was Private Client Group Relationship Manager with PNC Bank in Chevy Chase, MD. There she managed key relationships with high-net-worth clients. During her career, Gail also worked with several major financial firms including MetLife Securities and Lincoln Financial Advisors. Her responsibilities included providing comprehensive financial planning, wealth management, and retirement planning. Gail graduated from the University of Dayton with a BS in Marketing. She earned a Certified Financial Planner
® (CFP) designation through the American College in 2004. Gail was also a member of the Business Women’s Network of Howard County, (BWN) and the American Association of University Women (AAUW), and served on the parish council of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Fulton, MD.

Director
Mark Herner
Mark has been a part of ODB since the beginning, serving on the Board since its inception in 2012. Mark Chaired the Building Committee that established the Soup Kitchen at our current site and is still responsible for managing the facility's upkeep. He participates in all the ODB events, fundraisers, and meetings. Mark is compassionate about serving the needs of the less fortunate in our area. He enjoys working with other like-minded individuals and organizations who share a desire to ease the issues
associated with hunger. He believes in living by the golden rule of "doing unto others." His priority is helping those in need of the basic staples of life. Mark is a retired Federal employee and has served several years in leadership roles on his community property committee and at his local church.

Director
James Reddick
James joined the ODB Board in April of 2023. He is the founder of Channie P. Bradley Senior Services, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization designed to improve the morale of seniors, specifically those living in long-term care facilities, by hosting and participating in special events geared toward that population. In addition to his work with CPBSS, James is the manager of Enterprise Operations Training for the AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies. He is a
licensed Realtor in Delaware and Pennsylvania and is an ordained Elder. James has a heart for volunteerism and with his nonprofit has worked with organizations such as Philly Reads, Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance, Gift of Life Family House, Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill, Newark Manor Nursing Home, Silver Lake Complete Care, and Our Daily Bread. James currently serves on the Governor’s Commission on Community and Volunteer Service for the state of Delaware. He is passionate about coupling his faith and professional and real-world experiences to impact communities worldwide.

Director
Kathy Ursitti
Kathy has been a Board member at ODB, off and on, since 2014. She was born and raised in Pittsburgh and moved to Delaware in 1986. Before retirement, she worked for PNC Bank and DuPont in Customer Service and Inside Sales. She retired in 2014 and began her service at ODB. Kathy also served as Treasurer for The Old Bohemia Historical Society from 2016 through 2020 and was then elected President, serving a 2-year term. Kathy believes she was put on this earth to serve and there is no better way to serve than feeding the hungry in our community.

Director
Arun Balakrishnan
Arun joined the ODB board in 2025. He has BS, MS, and PhD degrees (all in electrical engineering) from Panjab University, Montana State University, and Duke University, respectively. He holds eleven US patents and has (co)authored fifteen peer-reviewed IEEE publications. In his spare time, Arun likes to work out, listen to music, and putter around the house, working on solutions in need of problems. Arun and his wife (with their dog) moved to Delaware in 2024 from Colorado. They are both very interested in applying their life lessons to serve those around them. In light of this, he has recently accepted a position teaching Engineering at Middletown High School.

Joanne
Joanne has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She was a school Business Administrator in New Jersey for 20 years. She also was a school board member in her home town for 13 years. Joanne has a strong passion for volunteer work. She has been volunteering at ODB since 2019, currently helping to manage food purchases and Food Bank orders (among many other things). Additionally, she has been a volunteer with Vitas Hospice for 15 years and serves as Treasurer for Friends of Appoquinimink Library. Joanne is married and has 3 children and 6 grandchildren.

Director
Chena Williams
Chena Williams joined the ODB Board in 2025 after volunteering since 2021. She is the Command Chief for the 166th Airlift Wing in New Castle, DE, advising senior leadership on the readiness, health, morale, welfare, and professional development of over 1,100 ANG members. Her leadership supports strategic wing initiatives, including tactical airlift, aeromedical evacuation, and cyber operations. Since 1996, Chena has held various military roles and earned degrees in behavioral science (B.A.) and human resource management (M.A.). Passionate about volunteering, her efforts span organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House, Special Olympics, and Faith Victory Church, along with her ongoing dedication to ODB.

ADam Beaudry
Adam Beaudry joined the ODB in early 2025. He and his wife own Eastern Shore Tents and Events, a full-service event rental company based in Chestertown, Maryland. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire, Class of 2005. Adam began volunteering at ODB to set a good example for his son and to give back to the community. His generosity has been invaluable to the success of the organization. Adam is active in his community, coaching 8U basketball through the YMCA. In his free time, he enjoys boating on the Chesapeake Bay and cooking for family and friends.
