Cabaret For a Cause
Our 2026 Cabaret for a Cause is SOLD OUT! This year’s event will be Saturday, October 24th from 6-11pm at Middletown Memorial Hall. Back by popular demand, Marcus Chaney will join us again and dazzle us with a whole new show. We sold out last year, so don’t wait until the bitter end to get your seats. Donations may still be given.

Got a Truck?
Put it to good use! Join our Food Rescue Team
Last week we sent out several calls for help from local pick up truck owners asking them to consider doing some large pick ups for ODB. We got a number of responses and could use a few more folks. Each week we rescue between 8,000 -10,000 pounds of food from local supermarkets and farms. There are 12 pick ups a week that range from 200 to 1500 pounds. If you have a truck, some free time and some good energy, think about joining our team. We still can use your help.
We Need Cooks!
If you enjoy cooking and have free time during the day and early evening, please consider volunteering at ODB as a cook. You will work with a head cook and 2-3 others to prepare meals. We start preparing lunches on Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30 and cooks are generally done by 1:15. Meal preparation for dinners Monday through Friday start at 2:30 and is done by 6:15. If you can help us out, click the link below and fill out a volunteer application. Be sure to check “Cook” under “Volunteer Assignment Wishes”. Once we have you in our system, you will get an email newsletter every Sunday with a link to our volunteer database that has slots that need to be filled for the next half year. You can then pick dates and times that work for your schedule. We hope you will join the ODB family!
